Ukraine’s national basketball team makes its final push for this summer’s World Cup in China this February with crucial clashes against Montenegro and Slovenia. With three teams earning qualification and just two games to go, Ukraine currently sits in fourth place in a tight six-team group, just a single point back from third and three points from frontrunning Spain. Needing two wins to qualify, Ukraine shouldn’t have many problems with the lowly Slovenians, but will need to avenge a 90-84 road loss to the Montenegrins. Ukraine has only qualified for the World Cup once before, finishing 18th in Spain in 2014.
