1. According to the WHO, the current situation with coronavirus is stabilizing in Ukraine. Hans Kluge, Director of the WHO regional office for Europe stated that “In some countries, we see a gradual stabilization or decrease in the number of new cases,”
Kluge added that Ukraine, in particular, “is taking this path.” Kluge also warns that there is still a very high risk, despite the fact that the number of new cases of COVID-19 in Europe has almost halved compared to April.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 24 822 people have tested positive for COVID-19, with 735 deaths, and 10 439 recovered.

2. The Cabinet approved a draft law on electronic employment records which would allow for automatic calculation of pensions. The document will provide the possibility of automatically assigning a pension through a personal e-Cabinet on the Pension Fund web portal of e-services. It will also make it easier to get information about the length of service for pension purposes. According the Minister, “It will be the same as in all civilized countries, when the right to a social payment or pension comes, the state informs the person about the possibility of receiving it and how much it is,” The government promises to finalize the bill within a day and submit it to the Verkhovna Rada for consideration.

3. From June 5, the Cabinet of Ministers intend to allow full operation of cafes and restaurants as part of the easing of the quarantine in Ukraine. This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal.
According to Alexey Goncharenko, cafes and restaurants in Ukraine will be able to operate in compliance with these rules:
- a distance of 1.5 meters is maintained between seats at neighboring tables;
- a maximum of four visitors per table (excluding children under 14 years of age);
- personnel is provided with personal protective equipment (face, eye, and hand protection);
- clients use masks or respirators, except during meals.
4. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched a mobile application “Traffic Fines”, which allows users to check and pay for traffic violations. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. They claim that the app also allows you to quickly receive messages about new violations and changes in their status. The map feature also contains information about the location of speed cameras. The app can be configured to send alerts to not only to the car owner, but also to the responsible driver. Link
5. The second lunar eclipse of 2020 will take place on 5 June. It can be observed on the whole territory of Ukraine, reported the publication Science Alert. The eclipse will start at 17: 45 world time (UT), or 20:45 Kyiv time, and will last 3 hours and 18 minutes. It will be visible from Europe and Africa, Asia and Australia. The maximum phase of the eclipse will occur at 22:26 Kyiv time, when the moon will be 59% submerged in the shadow of the Earth. At this time the moon should appear red-brown in colour.
