Blockchain Fashion Week

The stage is set for the Fall/Winter 18-19 global fashion season to kick-off with the biggest fashion week in Eastern Europe – Kiev Fashion Days.
The event has already established a reputation as a world leader for emerging brands, providing these labels with opportunities to increase brand awareness, receive publicity via top fashion media, acquire orders from some the most well-known and largest retailers, and establish contacts with some of the fashion industry’s biggest players – journalists, buyers, agents, showrooms, tradeshows, productions and investors.
This season, Kiev Fashion Days takes on a new identity, with fashion days becoming part of an expanded event – the inaugural Blockchain Fashion Week, and will be the first event of its kind to bring burgeoning blockchain technology to the fashion industry. At a practical level it means designers taking part in the event get the opportunity to make sales via a new blockchain platform and, in future, will be able to attract micro-investment to their brands using the same platform.
This season’s face of the advertising campaign is Snejana Onopka – Ukraine’s most successful top fashion model globally.
During Kiev Fashion Days, the first Blockchain Fashion Conference will be held, an event dedicated to communication throughout and joint-development of the fashion industry utilizing innovative technology. The focus for both guests and speakers will be on blockchain technology, crypto-currencies and the potential they present for integration and application in the fashion industry. Also at Blockchain Fashion Week the world’s first Blockchain Fashion Hackathon. On February 3 and 4, developers of services based on blockchain technology have a unique opportunity to gather at the epicenter of the fashion industry. Participants will be able to develop their product using the technology presented, obtain quality consultation from blockchain industry experts and eventually create a prototype to cater to their projects, which presents a potential breakthrough in the evolution of the blockchain and fashion ecosystem where both industries will work alongside each other.
A truly international event, it is expected more than 40 foreign guests and 20 foreign designers from across 10 countries will attend. More than 50 brands are expected to be showcased during the event program.
