Canada in Ukraine
15 March 2019
Earlier this year, on 12 February, the Ukrainian Diaspora Museum opened its doors to reveal their most recent exhibit: Ukrainian Canadians. The opening drew quite the crowd: Canadian Ambassador to Ukraine Roman Waschuk, acting Minister of Health Ulana Suprun, and many more besides. Featuring works by the famed Canadian-Ukrainian painter William Kurelek, sculptures by Canadian-Ukrainian artist Leo Mol (Leonid Molodoshanin), costumes and uniforms, as well as books and relics belonging to Mykola Plaviuk – the last leader of Ukrainian People’s Republic in exile, it’s something you might want to put on your to-do list. The exhibit is open to one and all until 12 May.
