1. Kyiv has been removed from the list of cities where quarantine can be loosened. As of 24 June, quarantine can be eased in 11 regions of Ukraine. However, Kyiv has dropped out of the list of regions with positive dynamics. According to the ministry, quarantine can be relaxed in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhia, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions. According to one or more criteria, Kyiv and 13 regions cannot proceed to the next stage of quarantine which provides for the easing of restrictions because they are considered regions with a wide spread of coronavirus. 2. Nova Poshta has launched an international money transfer service. Post Finance, a member of the Nova Poshta group, has launched an international money transfer service at Nova Poshta branches. It is noted that transfers will be made through one of the largest international payment systems RIA. Source

3. Restaurants, swimming pools and cinemas to open in Kyiv after quarantine. If the epidemiological situation worsens, Kyiv will return to restrictions. This was stated by Kyiv Mayor Klitschko during an online briefing on 24 June. According to Klitschko, theaters and cinemas can operate from now on – with a limited number of visitors who must respect social distancing. Klitschko clarified that the emergency commission has prescribed regulations and conditions under which these institutions can operate. At the same time, the city will monitor compliance with the rules of operation of all institutions. Source

4. The hryvnia loses its position on the interbank market. On June 24, quotations of the hryvnia against the dollar at the close of the interbank market were set at 26.68 – 26.71 UAH per dollar. In the cash market, quotations of the hryvnia against the dollar are 26.55 – 26.74 UAH. Euros are bought for 29.74 UAH, sold for 30.16 UAH On the “black” market, the dollar is traded at 26.68 – 26.72 UAH, the euro – 29.88 – 29.98 UAH Source

5. Ukrzaliznytsia resumes railway communication with Lviv. UZ announced that on 26 June, the first trains after quarantine will run to Lviv from Kyiv and Odessa. Chairman of the Board of UZ Ivan Yurik said that from 26 June, trains that previously passed through Lviv without stopping for disembarkation and boarding of passengers will be restored. The following trains will be resumed: No. 743/744 Darnitsa (Kyiv) – Lviv, No. 715/716 Kyiv – Lviv, No. 91/92 Kyiv – Lviv, No. 12/11 Lviv – Odessa In total, UZ resumed 44 trains after quarantine.
