1.As of 27 April 2020, Ukraine has 9 009 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of those, 220 people have died, while 864 have recovered.

2.During a conference call with French President Emmanuel Macron, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, “The law on banks is our priority. I am sure that we will adopt it as it is important to us and opens opportunities for cooperation with the IMF.” He also underlined the importance of the EU’s further macro assistance to Ukraine.

3.Vladyslav Kryklii, Ukraine’s minister of infrastructure, said there is a possibility of relaunching urban and intercity public transport (bus, railway) on 12 May, depending on the indicators for the spread of COVID-19 at that point. Certain restrictions and safety measures would remain obligatory for passengers, like face masks, temperature screenings, and a limitation on the number of passengers.

4.According to UkrAutoprom data, in the first quarter of 2020, Ukrainians purchased and registered 99 800 cars. Of those, 20 300 were new while 79 500 were used imported cars. 5.The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine has completed a pre-trial investigation of the attack on activist Kateryna Handziuk. According to the investigation data, Vladyslav Manher ordered and financed the crime. Also, evidence of Oleksiy Levin’s involvement in the crime has been collected.
