Russia Unhappy with OSCE UAVs
Russia, according to Russia, is not party to the war in eastern Ukraine. However, Russian Foreign Ministry spokespeople don’t mind, apparently, speaking on behalf of the “L” and “D” “People’s Republics” (the unrecognised and illegal entities created by Russia to run their operations in eastern Ukraine, also denied by Russia, of course.)
In recent weeks, drones of the Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) for the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has seen several convoys entering Ukraine from Russia (but Russia isn’t party to the conflict) and these convoys have been transporting military equipment. This is documented fact, but Russia denies (ad naseum) being party to the conflict they actually started.
The MFA spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, has suggested that the OSCE SMM clear the flight path of their drones with the “D” and “L” “leadership”, or, in other words, asked that Russia be given advance warning of flight plans in order that they just avoid sending their military convoys on those routes at that time. Pretty disingenuous, obviously. But that’s Russia.
