1. According to the @moz.ukr, as of 6 May, 13 184 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Ukraine. Of these cases, 327 people died and 2 097 recovered. There were 487 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours in Ukraine. The number of Kyiv residents who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 over the past 24 hours has increased by 68 people, bringing the total to 1 651.

2. Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said international air traffic will likely not recover this summer. He says domestic flights will hopefully be launched this summer but flights heading abroad will be allowed by autumn. Kuleba added that opening back up international flights will depend on the situation in other countries.

3. Employees of the Kyiv City Ambulance Clinical Hospital staged a protest because they say their pay was cut in half. “We came out to say that we would like change, but change for the better, and not see how the system is getting worse every year”, said the doctors.

4. A storm warning has been issued in Kyiv. Heavy rains are expected in the city by the morning of 7 May, @ukrgmc.official reports. The estimated 15 to 49 millimetres of rainfall is nearly equal to the monthly average for May.

5. CreativeWomenSpace is calling on Kyiv citizens to sign a petition to ratify the Istanbul Convention on domestic violence against women. The Istanbul Convention is an international agreement of the Council of Europe signed by more than 35 countries of the EU as of January 2020. It is recognised as the highest international standard in preventing and combatting violence against women and domestic violence. The document is designed to effectively counter a wide range of phenomena, including psychological violence, physical violence, and sexual violence.
