1. As of 14 May, 16 847 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Ukraine. Over the past day, 422 new cases of the disease and 427 recoveries were recorded. This is the first time in the monitoring period that the number of daily recoveries in Ukraine has exceeded the number of new confirmed cases of the disease. In total, 4 143 patients have recovered and 456 have died.
2. Ukrainians can now make purchases through the online version of @IKEA. A list of goods was available on the company’s Ukrainian website last week, and as of today they can be ordered. “We are announcing the start of work in Ukraine to launch online sales,” the company said. IKEA said it was offering Ukrainian customers “about 3 600 affordable home improvement products and solutions.” Customers can choose where and how to pick up their purchase. This can be done at one of the delivery points in Kyiv for free or through home delivery. Currently, Auchan Rive Gauche and Metro stores will be the two points of delivery.

3. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will allow the resumption of non-food markets, provided that sanitary and epidemiological safety measures are observed. This decision was made by the government at a meeting on 14 May. The same conditions under which grocery stores operate, in particular, social distancing and wearing masks, need to be followed. The decision will take effect after the publication of the relevant document.

5. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the city is not considering raising fares on public transport in the capital. “The main thing for us now is to resume full operation of transport without excesses. But again, we, like many other countries, continue to live in a state of emergency. We ask you to use public transport to get to and from work, as well as for urgent matters”, Klitschko said. The mayor of the capital said that the company Kyivpastrans will continue to disinfect the transport network three times a day.
