- As of 27 May, 21 905 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Ukraine. Over the past day, 321 cases of the disease were recorded. In total, 7 995 patients have recovered and 658 have died.

- At a meeting on 27 May, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a draft memorandum of cooperation with the American company Louisiana Natural Gas Exports in supplying liquefied natural gas to Ukraine.
- The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a government program for economic recovery at its meeting on 27 May. According to Minister of Economics Ihor Petrashko, the program stands “on three pillars”: access to finance, access to markets, and ensuring modernisation and sustainable development.
- Metro stations will be partially restricted during rush hour. “In the metro during rush hours, in order to not create a large crowd of people, there will be restricted access to some stations”, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said. “We will need to wait a bit at the entrance while keeping a distance and wearing a mask.” He did not name the stations where such restrictions may apply.
- Up to 20% of the media in Ukraine is on the verge of closing, according to the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine. “In times of crisis, the profession of a journalist takes on greater importance. Readers, viewers, listeners need truthful information, which only the media can give. This information is sought, collected, checked, and prepared by journalists. Often it is with a risk to health and even to life but is always on time and accurate”, the union said in a statement.
