Music in the Garden

We love these couple of upcoming events, and if you’re in town, they are definitely ones to put in the calendar. 

On Thursday 16 July at 20.00 – 22.00, join Svitlo Concert in the National Botanical Garden for an absolutely amazing evening of music and atmosphere. With the smell of flowers in the air, grab a seat and relax to the live music of your favourite flicks: Sweet November, La La Land, Pretty Woman, The Bodyguard, The Great Gatsby, plus lots more, all thanks to the Kyiv Virtuosi Orchestra.

If you’re more a fan of jazz, then the Friday 17 July session is for you, where the Rodion Ivanov Quartet and vocalist Alena Karas will keep you well engaged with a number of romantic ditties.

Both shows will be held in compliance with all current Covid rules and regulations.

If you can’t make it to the concerts, step in the Hryshko National Botanical Garden any time! Named after Soviet botanist Mykola Hryshko, the gardens were founded in 1936, cover 1.3 m2, and are home to more than 13 000 types of tree and plant life, along with bushes of peonies, roses, magnolias, and lilacs.  Interestingly, the Vydubychyi Monastery and Trinity Monastery are located on the the gardens’ premises,  with various complexes of different flowers native to certain regions, such as the Carpathians, the Plains of Ukraine, Crimea, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Altai and Western Siberia, and the Far East.
