Kyiv Art Fair
The 5th Kyiv Art Fair will take place this year from the 20 to 23 August.
The Kyiv Art Fair usually takes place in May, but due to quarantine, the organizers postponed the event and changed the format. This time, the fair will take place separately from the main Kyiv Art Week festival.
The venue is on Parkova Road 16a and provided by Parkovy, the general partner of Kyiv Art Week 2020. The infrastructure will allow for special sanitary conditions to be respected in light of quarantine restrictions.
Let’s face it, the arts and culture scene has had a difficult few months but the fair is a long awaited opportunity for interaction between art associations and galleries, which will hopefully lead to new business ventures.
During the fair, part of the Parkovy complex will turn into a huge creative space with exhibitions of work by artists and sculptors, represented by more than thirty Ukrainian galleries and self-organized art associations. All work will be available for purchase.
Kyiv Art Fair is a great opportunity for people who want to learn more about art annd gain a deeper appreciation for Ukrainian artists. There will be many photo ops, a chance to talk to curators and directors of galleries, and you can even ask questions to the artists themselves. So don’t miss it!
The event will also include lectures and discussions on art in the current market, and its impact, including while crisis.
