An At-Home Fix for Those Who Miss Travel

Ukrzaliznytsia, or Ukrainian Railways, has recorded a 1.5-hour autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) video with train sounds and a view from the window. ASMR is a perceptual phenomenon characterised by a pleasant tingling sensation in the back of the head, spreading in the form of goosebumps on the skin of the neck and back to the extremities. It arises as a result of sound and visual stimuli.

Ukrzaliznytsia claims that this video is for those who miss traveling, who sleep poorly at home, and who find it difficult to concentrate on work.

“Friends, we missed you very much. We even sat down to write another touching manifesto, but we realised that we have something better than words. This is our magical, hypnotic choo choo — the language of the railway, which since childhood is a harbinger of adventure and a special lullaby”, the video description says. “Now you can jump on a virtual flight at any time, enjoy the sounds of the train, dream, looking out the window or relaxing before bed.”
