On 26 June, Jaguar Land Rover Kyiv Airport, one of Ukraine’s first Arch CI retailers, was officially launched on the Boryspil highway. At least 300 guests, brand fans, and celebrities attended the grand opening party. Speakers included Ivan Hynansky – owner and CEO of Winner Group Ukraine, Petro Rondiak – head of the Management Board of Winner Group Ukraine, and Andrew Jago with Jaguar Land Rover European Importer Region.
Highlights of the evening included a Jaguar XK-120, the legendary sports car that first appeared on the roads in 1948 and became the fastest serial vehicle, as well as a Land Rover Defender preferred by Sir Winston Churchill and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, never out of production between 1948 and 2016.
What makes the retailer special is a range of services it offers such as a barista bar, cigar lounge, children’s room, substitute vehicles, airport service, and off-road track. The venue is one of the new generation dealerships to be erected in the biggest cities across the country by late 2018.
Twenty-four beauties competed, but on 24 September, it was Leonila Guz of the Kherson region who took the title “most beautiful” along with the crown in Kyiv at the Miss Ukraine International 2018 beauty pageant showcased on 1+1. In fact, the crown initially went to Veronica Didusenko, who was stripped of it once judges learned she was married. Guz will represent Ukraine this year at the Miss World in China in

The Women’s Executives Leadership Development Initiative (WELDI) by the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine unites over 400 high-level managers – successful, goal-oriented, and modern female leaders. The sunny morning of 5 October started with an inspiring WELDI Business Breakfast at Gurama, featuring Yaryna Klyuchkovska, an expert in strategic and crisis communications. An interesting and dynamic discussion was set around the role of communication in building your personal reputation and the reputation of your company. John D. Rockefeller, an American oil magnate and philanthropist, was first person to hire a PR specialist. One hundred years later, Klyuchkovska talked about how far the communication industry has come since then.
On 9 October, a documentary film “The Man Who Stole Banksy» that tells us about the most mysterious street-art contemporary artist was presented in the building of the Malaya Opera. Within this event, creator of the project CityArt, and initiator of the creation of series of murals in Kyiv – Geo Lerosom presented a book – Kyiv Street Art vol. 2. Also, muralist-artists Apolo Torres (Brazil) and Matt Down (Belgium) gave a short, but very interesting lecture on street art before the show.
