Ukraine’s future hockey stars are set to take on the national teams from Austria, Hungary, Italy, Japan, and Romania at the IIHF under-18 world hockey championships division 1B this month. The third-tier tournament will see the winner promoted to division 1A next year, while the loser will be relegated to division 2A. Head coach Oleh Igantiev recently announced Ukraine’s roster, which will be led by forwards Denis Arkhipenko (Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights, ECHL, USA), Alexander Peresunko (Boston Jr. Bruins, NCDC, USA), and goalkeeper Arthur Oganzhanyan (Boch Militia, U18, USA). In addition to the hockey, there will be an outdoor fan zone with musical and other entertainment.
