1. According to the @moz.ukr, as of 7 May, 13 691 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Ukraine, of which 340 were fatal and 2 396 patients recovered.  The disease has been confirmed in 933 children and 2 660 doctors. During the past 24 hours, 507 new cases were recorded in Ukraine. In Kyiv 24 new cases were confirmed, bringing the total to 1 675.

2. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko will hold an online press briefing on 8 May at 12.15 about the measures and restrictions in Kyiv aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19. 3. President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed ex-Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili as the chairman of the Executive Reform Committee, the president’s press office reports.

4. In the Kyiv region, a group of law enforcement officers who abducted IT businesspeople was arrested. According to the Kyiv region’s police communications department, the exposed organised crime group includes current members of the Security Service of Ukraine and police officers.
