The 2019-20 football season will officially kick off on 21 July as your Dynamo Kyiv will take on rivals Shakhtar Donetsk in the Ukrainian Super Cup at Chornomorets Stadium in Odesa. The competition traditionally kicks off the new season with the Ukrainian Premier League champions taking on the Ukrainian Cup winners. With Shakhtar winning both titles last season, Dynamo qualified thanks to its second-place Premier League finish. Dynamo are the current holders, claiming last year’s title over Shakhtar thanks to a Vitaliy Bulayskyi first-half marker. A win this season would see Dynamo match Shakhtar’s record of eight Super Cup titles. Let ‘em have it boys!
