Pyrohovo
With COVID cases on the rise, there’s no better time than now to visit Pyrohovo, the outdoor museum dedicated to historical Ukrainian ways of living.
Considered by many as one of the top ten things to see in Ukraine, the museum is divided into ethnographic regions, each having typical houses, windmills, household items. It was painstakingly recreated in 1976 and has lived up to the standard of being a time machine that takes you straight to traditional Ukraine. It’s a great opportunity to learn about Ukrainian culture and get a glimpse into the lives of past inhabitants.
The museum also hosts frequent folk fests and performances. Tours in English are available.
