It is an undeniable fact that the Leopolis Jazz Fest is one of the most outstanding festivals, not only in Ukraine but in Europe as a whole. This massive event takes place in Lviv, once named Leopolis, and allows jazz legends from around the globe to gather and experience the true spirit of jazz.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Leopolis Jazz Fest (originally Alfa Jazz Fest). You would expect this year’s celebration to rival, if not exceed all the previous years, right? Well, we have both good and semi-good news. Just like many music festivals, Covid-19 has delayed the event until 2021. While this may seem frustrating at first, there’s a silver lining. Organisers now have a whole year to make this next Jazz Fest the best one yet. That’s one more year to call even more legends to the stage.
But don’t worry, there’s still a way to celebrate this year’s anniversary. You can gather your friends to relive past Jazz Fest performances online. Each day has something different to offer like Yellowjackets and Mario Biondi on June 4 or China Moses on June 6. We highly recommend you check out this link for the full schedule
This is a chance for the old fans to relive a unique experience and for the new ones to discover why there’s so much hype around this festival. But take note: live broadcasts will not be recorded, so don’t miss out. Will your favorite jazz musician be broadcast?
